The mission of the La Purisima Audubon Society is the same as the National Audubon Society mission. Additionally to further this mission LPAS is involved in appropriate projects to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, interact with other organizations and groups with similar concerns, and provide educational opportunities to the local community to increase their awareness, appreciation, and involvement in the natural world that surrounds them.

The mission of the National Audubon Society is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the Earth’s biological diversity.
