In February, 2009 the Trails Council received an additional grant from ESRI to expand its mapping capabilities. ESRI is the leader in GIS software and has provided many non-profits such as SBTC with grants for software they would never have been able to purchase with their limited budgets.
The grant includes ArcGIS Spatial Analyst and Maplex for ArcGIS. These extensions, valued at $3,000, provide added tools to improve SBTC's mapping abilities.
"Without the grant the Trails Council's limited budget would not allow the non-profit to have purchased either of them," noted Executive Director Ray Ford. "Thank you very much ESRI!"
