Jesusita Trail Project This Sunday
Posted by Mark Wilkinson on Aug 19, 2011 in Blog | 0 commentsSunday, August 21. SBMTV announces its monthly trail maintenance event.
Let's get out and take care of the brush and fix the tread on the Jesusita trail traverse. Nutrient rich soil and this year's rains have caused an incredible amount of plant growth all along Jesusita Trail. At the Jesusita "traverse", this growth has pushed all users to the outer edge of the trail bed - which is now breaking away.
We will cut back the brush along the traverse to regain the four foot wide trailbed and repair the crumbling tread.
Meet Sunday morning 8/21 8:00am in the Gelson's parking lot at State and Los Positas. We will carpool into the trail from there. If you want/need to ride into the work site, meet the work party on the Jesusita traverse at 9:30am. You'll need to start riding about 8:30am to make that time.
