CMC Rescue, Inc. is an employee-owned company that’s garnered a strong and loyal following among its users. Globally recognized as a leading manufacturer of rescue and work-at-height equipment, its employee-owners are loyal believers too. Company founder Jim Frank remains active with standards development, product design and training, while nearly 10 percent of the company’s 75+ staff actively serve as rescue team volunteers in their local communities. Gonzo Cycles is a great addition to Carpinteria! This is the go to place for anything bike related. It is also a great place to send people if they are visiting town and need to rent a beach cruiser or mountain bike!
Stop by and meet Joaquin. He is very friendly and super knowledgeable. He is generous in his support of the Franklin Trail. Joaquin donated two bicycles for prizes for a Franklin Trail fundraiser and can be seen on a regular basis volunteering to maintain the trail in tip top shape.
Los Padres Outfitters also provides all of the local mule packing support for the USFS. Packing building materials for the trail crews and provisions for both The CREW and the CCC. This season due to the hard work of the Ojai Ranger District, The California Conservation Corps and THE CREW, The Historic Red Reef Trail is wide open and ready for years of recreational use and access to the Sespe River for all public to enjoy.
Los Padres Outfitters, not only uses their string of mules to serve the public on recreation pack trips throughout the Los Padres National Forest. They also hold the packing contracts for industrial packing for both San Lucia and Ojai Ranger Districts. Pack Support for the Sisquoc Trail Project via The Sierra Madre, Sweetwater Trail was also provided this season.
The Food Liaison provides catering, a counter lunch service, and cooking classes. The restaurant features a healthy, seasonal lunch menu, served 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. When you go to the restaurant, please thank Nirasha and Jason Rodriguez for planning, organizing and hosting an event benefiting the Franklin Trail. In one day they raised over $4500.
The Gainey Vineyard is part of a large, sustainable farming operation owned and run by the Gainey family for the past 50 years. The Home Ranch, the largest of the three Gainey ranches in the Santa Ynez Valley, is 1800 acres. It is comprised of 100 acres of vineyards, an Arabian horse operation, 1000 acres of rangeland upon which beef cattle feed on native grasses, and 600 acres farmed primarily to organically grown fruits and vegetables.
